screen-shot-2016-11-14-at-3-33-27-pmHot Air: The (Mostly) True Story of the First Hot-Air Balloon Ride by Marjorie Priceman is a funny and (mostly) nonfiction picturebook about the first hot-air balloon ride. The book starts off giving facts about that special day in the Palace of Versailles in France in 1783. It then goes on to get a little but weird as the book continues. To find out what happens read this book! This is an important book because of the facts that are given throughout the book. Though, not all the facts as true, the author touches on this with witty humor. This is a quality book that was a Caldecott Honor Book and has received other recognition for its fun humor in the nonfiction genre. This is great for a reader who loves to laugh and likes quirky humor and cute pictures.
